The Wes Welker Foundation held their 6th Annual “Game Day” Cheer Preview for cheer squads of local Oklahoma City Public High Schools on October 23, 2024 at the Northwest Classen High School athletic gym. Over a dozen local teams participated and we are grateful to our donors who made this event 100% FREE for all teams!
The Wes Welker Foundation began the four-year implementation of the ELEVATE program in all middle and high schools in the Oklahoma City Public School District in 2014. Focusing on positive character traits, student-athletes and coaches discuss the importance of these traits through weekly meetings and award presentations. Student-athletes are awarded “C3” (Character + Competence + Consistency) medals to those who exemplify a specific designated trait.
